Inn From the Cold

The Mission in Action committee also overseas the Inn from the Cold           program at St. Giles. It began participating in this citywide program in March 1999, following the renovation of the lower hall and kitchen.  St Giles acts as a host church once monthly, the first Wednesday, providing up to 15 homeless people with a bed for the night, an evening meal, breakfast and a packed lunch. Deciding to join this program was initiated by members of the congregation but interest has extended so that now volunteers come, not only from St. Giles, but also from the surrounding community and neighboring churches.
