Good morning!

As the beautiful sun shines brightly today, let’s give our best to God in everything we do, no matter how big or small, with hearts full of gratitude. When we serve with love and thankfulness, we honor Him and reflect His goodness to the world. Let’s make each moment an opportunity to show His love through our actions.

This Friday has been filled with activity at the church, from beautiful Lenten hymns during the café to the three-day pictorial with many new faces. The sound of children playing in the garden added to the joy, making this week truly blessed and memorable.

Prayer & Meditation for the Season of Lent – Every Wednesday, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM starting March 12 with Ann Frost: As we celebrate the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to join us in the beautiful St. Giles sanctuary and dedicate this time to deepening your relationship with God through an intentional prayer and meditation.

Lectionary Study: Starting April 23 at 10:15, please join us as we take part in a Lectionary Study. The Lectionary is a list of Scripture readings for every Sunday based on a three-year cycle of readings that is often used by ministers to guide worship. The readings can be found on the PCC website, Worship – Weekly Lectionary Readings. Link: Worship – The Presbyterian Church in Canada

Save the Date: Walk for Housing Saturday, May 3, at 3PM. Meet in the St. Giles parking lot. Sponsor sheets are coming soon!

Cultivating Hope – Food, Justice and the Life of Faith at Grace Presbyterian Church: Please join on April 25-27 for a weekend of powerful learning and meaningful action with Dr. Norman Wirzba (Duke Divinity School). Discover how faith, food, and hope come together to heal our lives and the world around us. Please register here.

Post for Secretary at Presbytery Macleod: Presbytery Macleod is looking for a secretary who can work five to ten hours per month on a part-time basis. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact [email protected].

Covenant with Mortgage Connection: St. Giles has entered into a covenant with a new neighbour, Mortgage Connection, for them to use the parking spots along the 10th Street side of the lot between 8AM and 5PM, Monday to Friday. Mortgage Connection will graciously be making a monthly donation to St. Giles for this usage. Please respect this arrangement and, during this timeframe, park elsewhere on the lot.

Labyrinth Café: Thank you, Jim and Janet, for leading us in Holy Week/Spring hymns. It was a joyful time!

AFTERNOON SERVICES: For those who are unable to attend morning services, there is an afternoon study and prayer at 1:30PM every Sunday at St. Giles led by Rev. Chandra.

April 6th, The Fifth Sunday of Lent: This Sunday, we are led in worship by Chandra our minister, by our St. Giles choir, and by Malcolm Edwards, our new music leader. The Bible readings for this week are from Isaiah 43:8-13, Philippians 3:5-14, and John 12:1-11. God invites us to be His witnesses—not through perfection, but through lives transformed by His grace—letting go of the past and pressing forward to know Christ more deeply. Like Mary, may we boldly pour out our love and devotion, offering Jesus our very best with hearts full of faith and gratitude.

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
“I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
Philippians 3: 10-11
