Paul’s obedience leads to the conversion of Lydia, whose open heart and hospitality beautifully reflect the transformative power of the Gospel. It reminds us to trust God’s direction and to respond with faith, openness, and generosity.

Good morning!
On my way to church this week, I picked beautiful flowers—red, yellow, and orange—blooming effortlessly in their season. They reminded me that God’s timing is perfect. So when doubt creeps in, be still, talk to God, or look around at His creation, for it brings peace, even in the midst of uncertainty. Just as the flowers bloom when the time is right, we too can trust that, in God’s care, we will bloom — not rushed, not forgotten — but in His perfect time, reflecting His love and grace to the world around us.

May 11th, the Fourth Sunday of Easter: This Sunday, we are led in worship by Chandra our minister, by our St. Giles choir, and by Malcolm Edwards, our new music leader. This week’s Bible readings are from John 10: 24-30, Revelation 7: 9-17, and Acts: 9:36-43. As followers of Christ, we are called to listen for His voice, believe in His promise of life, and show His love through acts of compassion. We are asked to live as people who know and are known by the Shepherd, whether through quiet confidence in faith, hope for eternal life, or everyday acts of kindness.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish,
and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
