Good morning!
Each day, our words and actions plant seeds in the hearts of others. The kind of fruit we grow—whether love, patience, or kindness—shows what is truly in our hearts. Choose to let your life be a garden that reflects God’s goodness wherever we go.
St. Giles extends love, prayers and deepest sympathies to Toby Gaskarth and her family on the passing of her father on August 15, 2025.
Thank You to everyone who came out and contributed to the success of the Wear White Picnic last Sunday. We were blessed with a beautiful afternoon of playing games, taking time for conversation and enjoying a delicious potluck meal together. What a feast! One oversight was the absence of a donation plate for the Progress Fund. Please consider donating through the offering plate or online at [email protected]. Please note Wear White Picnic Progress Fund Donation on the envelope or in the memo box if online.

Card Tables Needed
Do you have a card table at home that you would like to donate to St. Giles? Or…please watch for them as you browse Garage Sales this summer. Thanks for your help!
St. Giles Choir is looking for new members. We meet Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. for rehearsal, and then we lead the music on a Sunday morning. The ability to sing is a learned skill–it is not a genetic endowment– and the best way to learn and improve your skill is to be surrounded by other singers. Singing in a choir is a musical education in itself, as we often cover aspects of music theory and history -that apply to the music being worked on. Finally, our choir members are welcoming, and we do have -dare one call it–FUN!

This week’s Scripture readings are from Isaiah 5:1-7, Hebrews 12:1-4,14-17, and Luke 12: 49-56. God cares for us like a gardener cares for his vineyard, wanting our lives to produce good fruit. To do this, we must keep our eyes on Jesus, stay strong in faith, and live with peace and holiness. Jesus calls us to let His fire change our hearts so we can stand firm and follow Him, even when it’s hard.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
” And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.”
-Hebrews 12
