Good morning!
Each day is a chance to be a vessel of God’s love. Even when we feel small or unsure, letting Him work through us can turn simple gestures into encouragement that uplifts all who come into our lives.
St. Giles extends love, prayers and deepest sympathies to Toby Gaskarth and her family on the passing of her father on August 15, 2025. The funeral service will be held at St. Giles on Friday, September 11, at 11:00 AM.
Thank You to everyone who came out and contributed to the success of the Wear White Picnic last August 10. We were blessed with a beautiful afternoon of playing games, taking time for conversation and enjoying a delicious potluck meal together. What a feast! One oversight was the absence of a donation plate for the Progress Fund. Please consider donating through the offering plate or online at [email protected]. Please note Wear White Picnic Progress Fund Donation on the envelope or in the memo box if online.
Labyrinth Café on September 12

Card Tables Needed
Do you have a card table at home that you would like to donate to St. Giles? Or…please watch for them as you browse Garage Sales this summer. Thanks for your help!
St. Giles Choir is looking for new members. We meet Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. for rehearsal, and then we lead the music on a Sunday morning. The ability to sing is a learned skill–it is not a genetic endowment– and the best way to learn and improve your skill is to be surrounded by other singers. Singing in a choir is a musical education in itself, as we often cover aspects of music theory and history -that apply to the music being worked on. Finally, our choir members are welcoming, and we do have -dare one call it–FUN!

August 24 – 11th Sunday after Pentecost: This Sunday, our service will be led by our guest organist, Wayne Hubbard, Ian McKay our representative of the choir who are on summer break, and our minister Rev. Chandra. This week’s Scripture readings are from Jeremiah 1:4-8, Hebrews 12:18-29, and Luke 13:10-17. These passages invite us to trust God’s call, approach Him with courage and gratitude, and allow His love to flow through us to bring healing and restoration to the world around us.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
“Since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.”
-Hebrews 12:28
