January 19th, The Second Sunday after Epiphany: This Sunday, our worship will be led by our minister, Chandra, and our music leader, Michael, with the St. Giles Choir. The Bible readings for this week are Isaiah 11: 1-3a, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, and John 2:1-11. As we reflect on these readings, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit is active in our lives, not only to guide and empower us but also to transform us into vessels of God’s love and grace. May we see the ordinary moments of our lives as opportunities for God to work miracles, turning water into wine and bringing joy and renewal where it is needed most.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. “
1 Corinthians 12:5-7
