Happy Stampede!

Experiencing the Calgary Stampede and Parade for the first time was like stepping into a lively world of cowboys and excitement right in the city. The vibrant parade filled the streets with colorful floats and cheering crowds, making everyone feel part of a big, joyful community. It was a memorable reminder that, amidst our daily routines, there are moments of celebration and unity that bring us all together. Thank you to the people who encouraged us to attend and gave us the opportunity for this wonderful experience.

Weekly Quote:
“Through hospitality, Christians imitate God’s welcome. Hospitality opens the way for all people to be the same under God, part of the same family, welcomed for who they are in all their uniqueness.”

Diana Butler Bass (2006. Pg 82) – Christianity For the Rest of Us

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
And you, O mortal, do not be afraid of them, and do not be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words, and do not be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear; for they are a rebellious house. – Ezekiel 2:6-7
