Good morning!

As we celebrate the Day of Pentecost, we are reminded of the promise that God’s Spirit still speaks to our hearts, moves through our lives, and empowers us with strength, peace, and purpose. As Spirit-filled children of God, we are called to be bold witnesses—led not by fear, but by love. Come and join us this Sunday for a joyful celebration of Pentecost and Holy Communion.

June 8 – Day of Pentecost – Communion Sunday: This Sunday, we are ledby our minister Reverend Chandra, our choir director Malcolm Edwards, and by our St. Giles Choir.  This week’s Scripture reading are from Romans 8: 14-17, and Acts 2:1-4, 16-21. These passages teach us that the Holy Spirit is both our identity and our empowerment. We are not only heirs with Christ, but also vessels of His mission. On Pentecost, and every day, may we remember that we are called, equipped, and sent by the Spirit to live boldly, love deeply, and speak truth with hope.

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:

“After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions.  Even on male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”  Joel 2:28-29
