Good morning!

The past few days have been filled with beautiful sunshine, reminding us that after winter, spring always follows, bringing new life and hope. Just like the changing seasons, we too can embrace fresh starts and let go of what holds us back. Let the warmth of spring and the spirit of Lent inspire us to grow, reflect, and live with a heart full of purpose.

Ham Dinner Fundraiser: Thank you to all those who generously supported this project with their time and talents and to those who attended. It was a fun evening! $1,640 was received.

Bible Study: We give thanks for the leadership of Denis Mascardelli on Wednesday mornings at Bible Study. In recent weeks, he led us through a study of Dr. Stephen Meyer and his book, Return of the God Hypothesis. Bible Study will be resuming in the fall.

Prayer & Meditation for the Season of Lent – Every Wednesday, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM starting March 12 with Ann Frost: As we celebrate the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to join us in the beautiful St. Giles sanctuary and dedicate this time to deepening your relationship with God through an intentional prayer and meditation.

Upcoming Speaker Event – Sunday March 30, 11:30-12:15 in the Park Room: Come hear Hanna from Home Space Society. This will officially kick off the Spring Walk for Housing Campaign. This year, the walk is scheduled for Sat. May 3. Details to follow.

Photo Directory: This contains portrait photographs and contact information of the congregation. Only those who attend the photo session will receive their own directory at no cost and also have the opportunity to purchase beautiful, studio quality portraits (although there is no obligation to buy.) The photography sessions will be:

Labyrinth Café: Join us on Friday, April 4, from 10:30-12:30 to raise your voice in songs of the season led by Janet A., and Jim W.

Lectionary Study: Starting April 23 at 10:15, please join us as we take part in a Lectionary Study. The Lectionary is a list of Scripture readings for every Sunday based on a three-year cycle of readings that is often used by ministers to guide worship. The readings can be found on the PCC website, Worship – Weekly Lectionary Readings. Link: Worship – The Presbyterian Church in Canada

How to Disinherit CRA through Charitable Giving: Join for a lunch and learn session with Mackenzie Investments on their Charitable Giving Program and our very own Chris Thurber on insurance opportunities.

AFTERNOON SERVICES: For those who are unable to attend morning services, there is an afternoon study and prayer at 1:30PM every Sunday at St. Giles led by Rev. Chandra.

March 23rd, The Third Sunday of Lent: This Sunday, we are led in worship by Chandra our minister, by our St. Giles choir, and by Malcolm Edwards, our guest organist. The Bible readings for this week are from Isaiah 55: 1-9, 1 Corinthians 10:2, 8-12 and Luke 13:1-9. As we reflect on these passages, let us turn to God in humility, respond to His invitation with repentance, and strive to bear fruit that brings glory to His name.

SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.
Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.
Isaiah 55:2b-3a
