Good morning!
God is calling us every day, not just in big moments but in simple, quiet ways. He reaches out to us through our work, the people we meet, and even in moments of struggle, inviting us to grow and find peace. Let us listen closely, for His voice often guides us to the purpose and love our hearts are searching for.

Basket Making, Monday Nov. 11 at 12 PM: We will once again be selling baskets at the Christmas sale and therefore are asking for donations of small items to put in the baskets. We have found that useful everyday items sell better than decorative items. Some suggestions of what to donate are listed below: soap, hand sanitizer, small Kleenex, tea, coffee, chocolates, notepads, tea towels, jam, marmalade, nuts. Teacups or Christmas mugs are also great as we can fill them to create small “baskets”. We are also looking for some baskets with no handles and small to medium size. Please drop donations off in the Church Office marked “for baskets” by Sunday November 10th at the latest.

This is an opportunity to walk together through our own grief, or supporting others who are grieving.
Bible Study with Denis Mascardelli, every Wednesday at 10:15 AM: Led by Denis Mascardelli, the study this year is about Paul’s two letters to the Thessalonian church, sometimes referred to as the eschatological letters of Paul, though there is much besides eschatology (the doctrine of last things). No homework is required, just bring a Bible and participate in the discussions as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

October 27, 23rd Sunday after Pentecost: Today we are led in worship by Chandra our minister, by our St. Giles choir, and by Michael McKay who is discerning with Esther and the HR committee if he will be our new Music Director. This week’s Bible verses are from Jeremiah 31: 7-9; Hebrews 7: 23-28, and Mark 10: 46-52. These verses show a God who comes close to His people, bringing healing, restoration, and everlasting intercession. Let us remember that even amid our trials, God hears our cries, and like Bartimaeus, our faith will lead us to encounter Christ’s healing touch.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGE FOR REFLECTION:
Because Jesus lives forever, He has a permanent priesthood. Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7
